I ended up driving Dad’s 2012 S60 last night to get gas before it shot up 23 cents a gallon overnight. And driving it, it made me feel a way I never once felt driving my Civic. I genuinely smiled and grinned driving this for the five minutes I was behind the wheel. I know its not the best car, but I want one. And I was looking and found this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for a hair over $20,000. Full warranty, leather, sunroof, BLIS, its everything I want. And it has under 25,000 miles. How do I convince her that is what I want and need. Get rid of the Civic and let me finance this!
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
This has been a pointless, meaningless post about something that more than likely will not happen. I can dream though.

Just out of curiosity, what's the lease payment on the Civic.

On topic: It is literally the safest car on the goddamn road. Volvo spends years engineering their seats to be as comfortable as possible.
“Fail” to mention to her that it’s got the quickness and is a hoot to drive

Cheap. Thats why I got it.
We only put $500 down and I pay $175 a month....
I know that this will cost me more money. I know it’ll be far from even. But at least at the end I’ll be able to own something and have something I actually want

I had the sunroof open on Dad’s and put it in sport mode with the safety things off and manual shift mode. I squealed the tires from the stop sign! And coming from a Civic, merging onto the road and passing is a breeze. Plus that turbo 5 sound!

My mom leases a fully loaded 2015.5 S60 with 15,300 miles per year for $340 and that was with nothing down. I feel like with less miles per month, you could lease a new one closer to your price range.

Wow... she got a great deal! Its something Im going to be looking into. Dad helps us because he has loyalty. I only need 10,000 mile a year. And grandma has top tier credit.

Also, I totally agree with what you were saying about how they drive. The new 2015s seem a bit quicker with the new 2.0t drive-e engine. And Sport mode, gotta be the best feature this car has.
You should find out from Honda what the civics current buyout price is, because if it is low enough, you could potentially make money off of it which could be used as a down payment on the Volvo.

Yup, it’s over. Trade that Civic in now.

I took a similar pic last night!
And one thing I have going for me is that I’m so under on mileage...like over 9,000 behind at this point. I’m going to really look more into it

I miss those LED’s from the pre facelift S/V/XC60’s. Also, with that low of miles, you would probably have no problem unloading your civic. Maybe even a volvo dealer would give you a little for trading it on an S60.

Also, it really helps when leasing, to pit two different dealerships against each other. My mom, for example goes to a dealer 45 minutes away, instead of the one 10 minutes away, because the farther one will do anything to steal business from the local one.

Same, I think the preface lift cars look much better.

It isn't though. What grandma needs is a Lincoln. Tell her to get a Lincoln.

I will say however that the rear end on the post facelift cars looks better with the integrated exhaust tips.
